My daily exercise includes many different forms of exercise, from walking the dog to strength training to yoga and so on. Therefore, when I buy leggings, I will try my best to choose a versatile style that can be worn during all my workouts.

I like every item I buy, but they all lack a specific function: they are not menstrual proof. I have friends who like to wear anti-menstrual leggings for exercise, so I decided to test Thinx anti-menstrual leggings and cycling shorts (sent to me by the brand) to see if they can withstand my favorite sports.

I chose to test them on the heaviest day of my menstrual period to see their ability in the absorption department. To test their versatility, which is what I really value in my workout leggings, I chose to wear them during an hour’s morning walk with my dog, 20 minutes of strength training, and 20 minutes of Peloton riding. . Earlier, my thoughts on how they will stick to the end.

Due to the cold outside, I decided to wear Thinx Leggings (US$95) and walk with my dog for an hour, and then switch to Thinx Cycle Shorts (US$38, original price US$75) for strength training and Peloton riding.

Compared to my other workout leggings, the Thinx leggings are made of a much thicker material than my usual leggings. They are even thicker around the crotch to absorb blood and menstrual fluid. The thicker fabric around the crotch feels like tights are made with seamless inner underwear. These special leggings are designed for medium flow, equivalent to about three tampons of liquid.

When I put them on for the first time, I noticed that they are a bit compressed, which makes me think they are also suitable for running. In other words, they did not feel too tight or confined around my waist or abdomen. I really appreciate this because I was experiencing some bloating at the time.

After I got rid of the crazy feeling of not wearing tampons or pads (which lasted for about five minutes), I completely forgot that I even had menstruation. I never felt damp or uncomfortable. When my puppy and I walked briskly, the tights did not slip off or move.

After walking the dog home, I changed into cycling shorts and did a 20-minute full-body strength training on my Peloton app.

Cycle Shorts are made of a slightly thinner material and don't feel as stressful as tights. However, like leggings, they have another layer of fabric around the crotch to absorb menstrual fluid. These are described as ideal for light flow and can hold up to two tampons of liquid. Even on my heaviest day, my menstrual period is very light, so I feel safe to try on shorts.

Peloton exercises include a large number of compound exercises such as deadlifts, dumbbell thrusters, push-ups and poppy jumps. I do have to raise my cycling shorts twice during exercise (especially during Bobby training), but I also think I can reduce the size, which is not a problem at all. Absorbed wisely, and again, I never felt any discomfort or dampness.

I can see that I also want to wear these just to wander around the house. In my opinion, they are more comfortable than tights.

In the last part of the exercise, I hopped on a Peloton bike and rode for 20 minutes. I know that this ride will allow me to get in and out of the saddle, sprint, and exercise endurance, so I think this will be a good versatility test for durable cycling shorts.

I was surprised to find that shorts felt safer on the bike than in my strength training. They have never ridden or glided once-even when jumping. I'm sweating, but this fabric does a good job of wicking sweat.

Thinx pointed out that its durable sportswear can be used for a variety of different exercises. After my personal test, I agree. In general, I am very satisfied with my experience. I washed them immediately and hope to wear them the next day.
